Help prevent suicide

by helping us learn

(and teach) how to ask for help.

The adventures are real. Join The Crew!

What Humility Quest is, why asking for help matters, and how your contribution moves the adventure and cause forward.

Humility Quest turns tough adventures into proof that asking for help isn't weakness.

What We’re Doing Now

Current Challenge: Underwater Rock Run — 1 Mile
When: Nov/Dec time frame
Where: Mission Bay San Diego

What it is:

An attempt to carry a 25-50 pound rock underwater in relay fashion until we cover a mile. Training, safety drills, and the final attempt are filmed and shared.

Why it matters

Every step requires specific asks—coaches, safety roles, gear, editing—so viewers see how to ask well, not just watch a cool adventure.

What We Need for This Adventure

Pick one and raise your hand. (Fill out the form below)

  • Producer / Showrunner — Orchestrate schedule, story beats, call sheets, releases, and crew so each “ask” turns into an entertaining episode.

  • Video Editor — Take all the footage and turn it into the product the producer envisioned and shorts.

  • Videographer — Capture training, safety drills, and attempt day (above/below water as able) and manage clean footage handoff.

  • Copywriter / Blogger — Write short scripts, captions, and a weekly 500–700 word “Lessons in Asking” and adventure update post from interviews/notes.

  • Social Media Manager — Post clips, write captions/hashtags, reply to top comments, and report simple weekly metrics.

  • Graphic Designer — Create the series opener, lower-thirds, thumbnail templates, and a few simple event/sponsor graphics.

  • Safety Lead (freedive/dive/med) — Freedive Training, set safety plan, abort criteria, and O₂ coverage; supervise drills and coordinate spotters.

  • Boat Captain/Owner — Provide a reliable vessel and captain for a 3–4 hr window; handle comms, positioning, and basic permits.

  • Grant Scout / Grant Writer — Find aligned micro-grants and draft quick LOIs/proposals; keep a simple grants calendar on deadline.

  • Sponsor Scout / Partnerships — Build a target list, run outreach, and close $5k–$10k sponsorship packages; track pipeline to signed deals.

Why it Matters

Buddy checks save lives.
When we stay connected and check on each other, people speak up sooner and get help faster.

Asking is a powerful skill, in good times and bad.
We model it on camera—planning, failing, learning, and asking better—so mid-career pros can use the same skill at work and at home.

Your help funds real support.
Each donation powers the The Bravo Charlie Initiative to do more buddy checks and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention bring hope for more people —and shows thousands of people what healthy asking looks like in the wild.
